Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

Thanks John. Good to see you back at RS!

Here is another pic of the LN.
I am leaning on naming him Durante (after Jimmy Durante)
but I was also thinking of calling him Scott.

I put some Mysis in the QT and it took him a couple of minutes but he started eating.

Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

He's a cutie for sure! They are a hardy species, I'm sure he'll do well. When I had mine in QT I would feed him pieces of shrimp on the end of a wooden skewer. They are fish with a lot of personality when alone, but blend in well with a community tank. I call mine the Burberry fish!

Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

OlivertOO (Debbie) was asking abount the montipora that I bought from Sharkey's Reef. Debbie had been holding that Monti for Sharkeys and brought it in when I just happened to be there and I had to buy it.

I found a place for it in my tank that I liked but I did not want to mount it there unless I knew the Monti like the location. So after a few weeks I saw growth and decided to glue it to the rock. Of course I was being extra careful as Montis are so delicate and off course I broke several pieces off.
I took these broken pieces and glued them to another rock. They have done well and no longer look like separate pieces of coral.
Last week I noticed another piece of the mother colony was breaking off.
When it fell I decide to mount it to the overflow box.

1st pic is mother colony today.
2nd pic is frag on Feb 4
3rd pic is frag on March 5
4th pic is frag Today
5th pic is Fragette on overflow box today.
