Nice rics, but how did your person get the lid off the thermos!?!?!?!?!

My arm/shoulder is killing me today from trying to open the darn thing. I should have used the hammer after 5 minutes LOL!

Zo said it was really PITA to get off. He used a towel to get a better grip and with some effort got it off!

Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

Here are some pics of All the Ricordias
And Shroom Mountain. You can see the Flower anemone in the background.
The 3rd pic is of the blue Ric that has come unattached twice from the Ric Roc.
Obviously he does not like that location. I think as he is blue he may need more light so he needs to be on a horizontal plane to the lights and not a vertical one as he was on the Roc.

They sure are Doni!
I have really fallen in loce with ricordias. When you think you have seen the most amazing color morph along comes another one even more stunning.
They really make underwater gardening pretty easy.

Beautiful tank! I love all of the color.

What is the Orange coral(?) towards the right? Is that a Sun?

They are so beautiful, Jeff. Rics don't fit in with the biotope model I'm going for in the tank I'm working on, but I'm thinking I have a nice little spot in my bedroom for a smallish tank... hmmm. Maybe a different sort of biotope focus!

Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

A new LFS just opened up this week and it is only 2 blocks away from me.
Chicago Aquarium
5040 N. Clark St. - for those of you in Chicagoland.
I went in to check them out this evening.
They don't have coral or invert yet but they will be starting tanks for them.
They had some nice looking fish including a midas blenny which is on my fish wishy list. If only my QT would finish cycling. (Day 18 - NH3 is 0 but nirtites are still high!) They also had a flame hawk that kept making eye contact with me. I like the Flame Hawks but I do like having shrimp soooooo h=they are not on my list.

You'd be better off with the Longnose anyway.

Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

I agree Scott. The long nose seem to have more personality.
That Midas Blenny was very handsome and could end up being my first fish especially if Divers Den doesnt have a Long Nose IF my QT ever finishes cycling. I am struggling with impatience right now.

I havent posted a pic in 10 days so here is a couple.
FTS with QT and Buddha
My sea Cucumber was deftly cleaning the ric garden today.
Mantis #1 (4th pic) and #2 (5th pic) were active today.
