Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

Jeff, I loves your brain korallen, mad colors. How large is the brain in the first picture? I consider whether I also one, maybe two, buy. Now no more fish is in the aquarium that it would eat,

Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

So when I got to Sharky's Reef today to pick up my order Debbie (olivert00) was not there and Anita told me that Debbie wanted me to wait as she had some surprises. Debbie comes walking in carrying a couple of buckets with many corals in them. She had been holding them in her tank at home for Sharky's reef. I ended up buying two of these coral a blue trumpet coral and this one.

It was definitely worth waiting for you Debbie!

I had to change my entry in the POTM.

Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

The other treat that Debbie had in her buckets was this colony of blue trumpets. It has 19 heads and it is hungry. The feeders came out within an hour of it being in my tank.

Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

Here are some more of the new corals that I got today.
These are the ones I ordered online and went and picked them up today since Sharky's Reef is just an hour away.
This Double sunset fungia is small but very beautiful!
The hermits are cleaning the rock that the fungia is mounted on. They do love new rock.

But wait Craig, There is more!
I also got this Ricordia yuma (Yuma Splendid as I call it)
and a couple of Ricordia florida that are mounted on a new rock.
I didn't get a decent pic of the new rics all together and all in focus.
I will try again tomorrow

Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

Thanks Craig - while the new corals were acclimating I sat and looked at the tank to find the right spot for everyone which meant I had to move a few of the earlier residents.

New camera + new corals = lots of pics.

Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

Go Debbie!
Thanks again.

Lights have been out for some time and the trumpets all have their feeders out. I target feed cyclopeese. The fungia is hungry too.
These corals have acclimated to my tank very well
I broke out the old canon PowerShot for its macro setting

Here is a pic of one of the other new Ricordia FL along with some more of the trumpet
