Thank you everybody!

Are you getting your christmas fish-list together?
Not yet. I will be waiting until January or February.
I have done a little thinking about fishies but I have not done any research.

question, whats that on the right side of the picture? Does it have small 'furry' tentacles that come out?
yes Drew it does. It is a Siderastrea Siderea ( thanks again Heinz for the ID)
I have a big one which you can see a pic of on post #171 of this thread.
This little one was a HH on that rock.

Here is a closer pic of the center of the tank.
You can see the larger Siderastrea Siderea on the substrate and also the two little ones in the upper left corner.

The Flower ananome thinks he is a character from Heros and he can walk through that Macro algae.

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

I have just watched the entire first season of Heros over the past two weeks.
What an amazing show - never expected that from network televison.
I have DVRed the first episodes of season 2 so I will probably get caught up this weekend.

I agree. It looks like a putt putt golf ball or a moon made of cheese.

Yes they were one of the goodies that came with the TampaBay Saltwater Package. I have added some mushrooms, ricordia fl, zoanthids, and the poor chalice. Everything else came from TBS.

I am going to keep stocking corals. slowly. Let the tank do some maturing.
Since i first got my nano almost 2 years ago now I have wanted a hammer/ anchor coral. I also want montipora maybe one of each type - plate, branch, and encrusting. Acanthastrea too. Just some of my favs that i have not kept before.

Oh! and christmas tree worms/porites!
I feel like a kid on Santa's lap

Again no fish will be added until at lest the first of the year.
Dentoid question earlier this week had me shopping diver's den for ideas.

Oh I have found a home for Mantis #3 that currently resides in my sump.
Fishnu here on RS wants him so we chould arange for him to pick up #3 within the next couple of weeks. #3 and I are very happy about this.

Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

Okay Sas your simple question planted a bug in me.
After work today I stopped at the LFS. I was thinking I would get me a little montipora frag. They had several but they seemed a little too pricey. Then the color of this one coral really caught my eye. There were a couple other corals (a deep blood red Open Brain and a beauty that I had never heard of and knew nothing about) that also caught my eye but I was total mesmerized by the aqua blue.

Introducing my new favites (Closed brain coral)

I wanted to place her in the center of the tank
but I was concerned about just how long her sweeper tenticles will be
so I placed her on the right side of the tank away from other corals.
Here she is in her new hood.

Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

I'm torn between Favites and Zoas being my favorites. That is one gorgeous specimen. I have three brain corals and their sweepers are not too long. One of mine even comes out to eat when I feed the fish!

Re: A 55G link in the Golden Chain

Thanks Craig!
I know there is a lot to read on this thread
so I try to balance it out with lots of pics.
The Nano really apppreciates the recognition.

So Melanie how long is too long. 3-4 inches? More?
I have read various lengths in my research.
My gals sweepers did not come out last night. I didn't really expect them to as she had only been in the tank for a few hours.
