You are right Scott, it can be also a Pseudoplexaura. A more exact ID is only possible if the polyps is fully developed. It can be also a Eunicea.

Ok, seriously I did NOT know you got all that spectular stuff with TBS. I knew you got great rock but those sponges and corals blow me away.

Your serpent star is ginormous. He scares me.

Those condis are so pretty. I'm going to watch with interest to see how it does. I've been afraid to try an anemone since I'm so new to the hobby.

I received 2 as part of my clean up crew. One has been pretty active and is on a rock. The other one curled up to a base of a small rock and has not really moved around much in the 36 hours that i Have had him. This morning I thought he was dead. He was stiff and kind of hard. With part one I received a cuke as a HH in the LS and he connected to a rock and did not move for a week and he was all hard. I pried him off the rock to remove him from the tank so that is why I thought the cuke was dead this morning. I used chop stick (my favorite tank tool) to pick up the cuke and before he was out of the tank I dropped him. Twice. The third time I picked him up I noticed he has elongated and gotten soft and pliable. I put him down and he was moving. very slowly. So He is not dead. yet anyway. I will have to watch him closely. If he is dying I dont want him decaying up in the tank especiall right now when I am watching ammonia levels so closely twice a day.
So far ammonia is low .05

So if you know anything about cukes please share.

I got two cukes with my package, one moved around from day one, the other didn't move for about 10 days, but now he is active too.

I also got a HH cucumber, he climbed up to the top of the tank on day one and stayed there for 3 months, never moved from that spot. He finally moved last week when the power went out for 15 hours and now he's got a new spot at the top. Look at the HH cucumber when the lights are out, sometimes I spot mine filter feeding - I try to target feed him some cyclopeez and phyto if I catch him doing this.

Beautiful tree sponges (Ptilocaulis spp. I believe). Mine goes through phases where it is "open" for a few weeks and "closed" for a week or so. I thought it was dead the first time it did this, but it always comes back.

Light! They are photosynthetic, so I never specifically feed mine. If they eat, they get whatever nutrients, zooplankton/phytoplankton that goes into the tank. I feed DT oyster eggs and DT Phytoplankton 2-3 times per week for my filter feeding critters.

I glued mine to the LR. They have grown over the glue blob and down onto the rock .

He was a little piggy last night too. I fed him some of a prime reef cube and he scarfed it down.
I work in a restaurant so i am going to as the chef for a couple pieces of shrimp, scallop, and calamari. My anemones will be eating gourmet

Thanks guys for the Sea cuke experience. Now I wonder if I removed the first HH cuke to soon. However he had not moved for over a week and was as stiff as . . . a corpse.

Tested for ammonia again last night and this morning.
Still very low < .05

Looking through Julian Sprung's "Corals: A Quick Reference Guide"
The projecting calyces look like Eunicea or maybe plexaurella.

Cool discovery of the day.

This Star Beauty was out after all lights were out and he did not like the flashlight. I got this pic in the dark with flash. I just love his markings.
