I would say yes as long as your tank is ready.

Re: Chronicle to Christopher's 1st Reef Adventure!

WHOOOOOOOO! Thanks for the okay... Will wait to make sure my reef is ready, lol punny...

Update on corals: The leather is almost on a full recovery!!!
The little mushroom has grown to almost twice its usual size since Thanksgiving!
The sun coral is actually slightly coming in on the skeleton!!! Weird, because it has also sprouting some new heads... Guess I need to feed it a bit more!

Get rid of the lava rock it can contain minerals that are bad for a reef tank.

Cal Native, I totally agree with you! That is why I removed that rock a few months ago!

Read some more of the chronicle, you might enjoy it!

Sooooo, I am thinking of getting a flame angel!

Is that too expensive? I hope it won't pick on my corals, though...

Re: Chronicle to Christopher's 1st Reef Adventure!

I have a flame and so far (crossing fingers) it's behaving. I only see it picking at the rocks and none of my corals look like they've been picked at. But then again, there are other folks here who say they had a flame and it would eat any coral that is in the tank. It's an individualized characteristic I guess.

GOOD LUCK! A flame sure does add a very nice flash of color to the tank.

Hey Christopher, how bout a lemonpeel? I've been seeing a lot of those lately for some reason. Very yellow.

I really like the Hotumatua's Angelfish but I'm a. maxed out and b. can't afford 800 for a fish.

Re: Chronicle to Christopher's 1st Reef Adventure!

I like lemonpeels, but I have read that they are definitely a fish better left in the ocean. Also, as a 15 yo, I don't think 800 is an option lol! Thanks!

I forgot about the coral beauty. Beautiful fish and it's mostly reef safe!
