| Manta Ray | Re: Chronicle to Christopher's 1st Reef Adventure! Wait until you have a Skimmer....they are very important. Plus you should consider some VERY small fish so you have a limited bio-load. It will make this so much easier for you. Even with a good skimer, a small tank is still a small tank. Think of you tank as a tiny Chunk of reef, you need tiny inhabitants.~Michael

| Golden Moray | Re: Chronicle to Christopher's 1st Reef Adventure! Wow, Christopher, I'm so sorry! Did they just disappear? I agree with Lynn about leaving it fishless in case that gramma had ich. Then you can think about what fish you REALLY want in there. You could take a look at Diver's Den on liveaquaria. They have some really interesting fish. |

| Fire Coral | Re: Chronicle to Christopher's 1st Reef Adventure! Sorry to hear about the loss of your fish. He's a cool looking fish. Reminds of a 2-spot goby I saw on a reef show the other night. They have a spot on both dorsal fins, when they move forward and back they look just like crabs. ![]() I do believe liveaquaria sells them. Jason |

| Pistol Shrimp | Re: Chronicle to Christopher's 1st Reef Adventure! The Twin Spots are awesome. They tend to do best in pairs. I love the flasher wrasses. try getting your hands on a McCosker's they are awsome little wrasses, and don't get much bigger than a carpenters, and they look similar to the carpenters. McCoskers Wrasse. ![]()

| Regular Guy Moderator ![]() | Re: Chronicle to Christopher's 1st Reef Adventure! Flasher Wrasses are jumpers and are lateral swimmers so anything under 3 feet long and 45 gallons is way too small for them. Gobies are your best bet for your tank size. Rainsford Goboies or similar species are a perfect fit. You have time to research as you have the skimmer wait and fallow time period of 8 weeks to work with.
