Re: Triggerjays new 125g Build thread

My comment was about the fact that a Goni was kept alive for 6 years in an aquarium. That is truly impressive and amazing!

Re: Triggerjays new 125g Build thread

There was no confusion. I understood you have had it for a year. It's still amazing! Did John have it before you? You have a leg up on us with a friend like that for sure!

Yeah, get the mag up, then mess with the reactor.

Re: Triggerjays new 125g Build thread

Nah, when John broke down his tank, one person got ALL his goni's.. and it wasn't me . This one came from another club member that had to tear his tank down due to a move, and didn't know when he would set up another tank. If I remember right, it was in a 40 breeder tank.

Re: Triggerjays new 125g Build thread

ok, here are a couple pics I just snapped of the clarity from running the carbon filter I made... My halides are off for the night, so the light you see is one 54w actinic, and one 54w 6500k.. (still waiting on another replacement actinic... they are both T-5's... Not the best pics,.. but you can see the difference.heres the pics:

Re: Triggerjays new 125g Build thread

Thanks guys. I am doing a 55g WC today as well. It should perk things up just a little more. And GOOD NEWS! No signs of the Dyno anymore either. I am hoping I do not have any bleaching happen from the clear water. I have my fingers crossed.

You could try some layers of window screen if you are worried about it. It is a concern after all.

Way awesome pics! And I like to two island setup too. My Xenias do the same thing, I've got so much flow they are like.."WHEEEEEEEEEE!!"

Re: Triggerjays new 125g Build thread

You could add an overflow switch to turn the pump off. I will be doing that with my remote container for the big skimmer i just built.
