Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Re: My new 75 gal. Upgrade

Here are some new pictures. They are not that great, but all I can get to here at work. Actually, they look better now that they have been resized.

Maybe I will get some more this weekend (like you have never heard that one before). Then again, maybe not. I have diatoms, so I think my Phosban needs replacing.

Re: My new 75 gal. Upgrade

Check out my newest addition!!!

Exquisite wrasse. They have had 2 of these for for a few weeks now, and I finally decided to get one. These pictures do not do it justice. I am worried about potential conflict with my Carpenter's Flasher Wrasses, so I will have to keep a close eye on things. I may have to rearrange my aquascape. The clown also is not fond of newcomers, but the Foxface seems to keep her in line.

Today they also had a black frog fish and a Sargassum Angler. It was sitting there twitching its lure. I wish I had a setup I could have put it in.

Re: My new 75 gal. Upgrade

I have new pics, but I still need to upload them.

The new wrasse is doing well. The Flashers do not seem to be bothering him. The clown will chase him off if he gets in her area, which is the overhang in the middle, behind the rics. She does to to everyone.

Getting a good picture of him is nearly impossible. He does not stop moving long enough, so all I can achieve is a pink-blue blur.

I think that wrasses get along with each other. They don't get along with shrimp though. Well, I guess they do, they consider them LUNCH!

I'm looking forward to the pics!

I think the rabbit is the only one that will not mess with shrimp. The clown will not eat them, but she will beat them up.

Re: My new 75 gal. Upgrade

New pics. Yeah!!!

First is an FTS.

Next, a couple shots of Buddy. He will now eat frozen grass shrimp without being enticed by live food first. Now I will try to wean him onto mysis and krill.

Here are my rics.

And here are some zoa shots to show their growth.

Re: My new 75 gal. Upgrade

Thanks for the comments.

I took some more pictures last night, using my camera's continuous mode, trying to get a good shot of the new wrasse. I have not had a chance to look over them yet, and I need to pick out some good ones to post.

Re: My new 75 gal. Upgrade

I like your tank! Nice aquascaping, nice fish.. the leaf fish is very cool. So I take it he kind of flops around the way the anglers do?

Your rics are beautiful! Honestly, they are one of my favorites in my tank. Their texture is so different, and they really photograph well. They almost look fake in photos.

Re: My new 75 gal. Upgrade

Thanks for the compliments.

I really like my rics too, and they are getting huge. Most of them have two mouths, so eventually I will have a lot more.

Yes, the leaf fish tends to flop around. Sometimes falling over on his side when he moves. However, when he is being fed, he swims very well. Perhaps his normal movement is done so that it consumes little energy.

Lots of fun happening here.
The leaf fish is very cool and I love your scape and growth on your rics and zoas. Guess that means I like your whole tank.
