Boy do I neglect this thread.
We bought a new hi fin goby to replace the one that disappeared. Hopefully he will pair with the pistol and we will have harmony. I felt bad for the pistol under a rock all by himself.
Right now they are each under one of the large rocks but I am hoping the goby will move in the next little while.

Do you read Coral magazine? There was an issue (Dec 2007/Jan 2008 issue) on pistol shrimps and gobies that was very interesting. They say it can take a while for the pairing up to take place. Just a thought

No I did not. I will have to see if I can find it.
I am not really in any hurry. As long as the shrimp doesn't eat the goby, I will be happy enough.
Now, off to search for the article.

I have the Coral magazine in question if you can't find the article. It was a very interesting issue. I really enjoyed reading Coral magazine becasue it had a European sense about reefing that we don't see much in everyday reefing.
