Re: Lynn's 20g clown tank.

Not sure what you are asking Ramora.
Nova - I am not even sure they are Clarki. Since it never really mattered to me, I never did a detailed search and the LFS where I bought them didn't know. Here is the best pic I have if anyone wants to do a real ID.

They have gotten quite a bit darker since the pic. I'll try to get more but it is hard to find them out of their anemone not chasing food.

Re: Lynn's 20g clown tank.

I've looked at the Allardi a number of times and you are right, I think mine is something else. I don't think it is the one you linked to though. Mine has a primarily white tail.
Maybe I should start and ID thread and get a couple of opinions.

Re: Lynn's 20g clown tank.

LOL. That would be why he has the shape of a wrasse.
He has actually been moved to the 125. He was just getting too big for the little tank and I added a really tiny goby/pistol shrimp pair. Now it is just the clowns, their nem, the goby/pistol shrimp and a yellow clown goby who is about to move. The clowns are just being too nasty to it lately. Once the goby/pistol get larger they will move as well.
Oh and a big nasty black crab that I have not yet managed to catch. Darn thing pulls the net towards him to get to the food. Darn he is smart but I will get him.

Re: Lynn's 20g clown tank.

Try the bait trick with him. That should work.

Re: Lynn's 20g clown tank.

I guess I forgot to post, but we got the crab out some time ago. Some bait, a net, and patience and he is happily living in the fuge.
I'm not sure how updated this thread is so I'll give a quick inventory.
a pair of Clarki clowns, a yellow clown goby, a pearly jawfish, a pistol shrimp, a fire shrimp and a peppermint shrimp. A couple of snails for cleanup as well.
Ther is also a RBTA for the clowns, a large mushroom rock that drops babies all over, xenia that has taken over the top of the tank, and one of my baby kenya trees.
I believe that is it unless you want to count a bit of cyano.
We just did a big WC so that should go away shortly.

Re: Lynn's 20g clown tank.

I can try for some pics after today's water change but the only realy change in the tank is that the pearly jawfish is missing and presumed dead. Frank blames the pistol shrimp but I'm not so sure. Then again there is a closed top and we never found a body so either it found a hole and jumped where the cats could reach or it had to be the pistol. I guess it could have been the nem.
We miss him but nothing we can really do.
The tank is looking pretty good but I need to replace the bulbs. The nem is looking a bit pouty and I am sure it is time anyway.
