Re: Here We Go Again!

Very nice Melanie. Don't forget to take your monthly FTS so that you have a record of how things are going. Good looking zoas and I do like the green ric.

Remember that all your tubes were purchased at the same time so if one needs replaced, they probably all need replaced.

Thanks Doc!

I won't forget! It's almost time to take the monthly FTS and do my recap. Boy the months are flying by. Seems like just yesterday when I started.

I do love my zoas and that green shroom is crazy!

Yes, I know about the lights all being about the same age so I've been replacing them one bulb at a time so as not to put the tank into light shock. This is bulb 3 so only one more to go.

Everything looks fabulous. Let me know if you have any questions about making sure the Kole is a healthy oned before you buy.

Re: Here We Go Again!

A few days ago I added two drops of lugols solution, a tsp. of Ca supplement, and 20 g. of Mg (all at different times). I noticed that the next day my xenia all acted strangley. Curled up in to balls, got a black stripe running through them..... Today they are fine.

Really. Fish are snobbish about that, particularly after Labor Day. And don't give me that winter white crap.

Re: Here We Go Again!

The only thing I can say is Melanie, try to grip your rod above the reel. You'll have less chance that a violent strike will pull your outfit out of your hands. That would apply even if you weren't wearing white pants.

Re: Here We Go Again!

Kathy, those are my beach/cover up pants and I've been lucky they haven't gotten ruined so far.

Craig, that is saltwater fishing in the backwaters. I live 13 miles from the Gulf and one of our houses is actually on the water so it's easy to pop on the boat and get out to fish.

Hank, although I LOVE to fish, we named one of our boats "Fish Repeller" because we almost never catch anything. Even with a $5000 Garmin system that tells weather and pressure and fish finder and GPS and everything. I've never had one yank the rod out.

Re: Here We Go Again!

I bought the ugliest creature in the reefing universe today. A sea hare. It looks like a big pile of throw up with cute ears. It's acclimating right now. As soon as my hair algae is gone, I'm trading him to a reefer friend. This thing is gross. I'll get pics later when he's out of the bag.

Re: Here We Go Again!

Can you really make a comment like 'ugliest creature in the reefing universe today' and not post a photo?

or perhaps you withheld photos for our own safety?!

Re: Here We Go Again!

Puke, my new seahare. He gets a name.

I also have a HUGE emerald crab. Either one of my tiny crabs is molting like crazy the past few months or this is an alien.

Re: Here We Go Again!

I have been reading your documentary for the past couple of days and I am so impressed with it all!

You have inspired me to keep going with this, even when things do not go as I would like them to.

LOVE you tank!

Re: Here We Go Again!

Your emerald crab has really long claws.
He's like 3 of mine.

And I like your seahare. He needs a middle name.
Something like Puke Aloyisius. Something to offset his first name.
He's perfect just the way he is. lol

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
