| Golden Moray | Re: Here We Go Again! Thank you all so much!!! Today is almost all good news. Ok, Benny is doing perfect. He is leaving little kiss marks on the glass! He wanders around the tank on his little leg-fins. I am glad (so far) that I made the decision to move him to the DT without a proper quarrantine period. Time will tell if it was truly a good decision. Firefish made an appearance. He looked very timid so I think he is just intimidated by the new guy. Since I'm probably only getting one more fish, he won't have to go through this many more times. I got a frag of some rare zoas from Trigger Jay during the Round Robin, so my RS Friend Frag project is coming along smashingly. I do have more cyano again today after work. I'm thinking it grows during the day and then the CUC eats it at night. I will mull over what I'm going to do next about that little problem. |

| Golden Moray | Re: Here We Go Again! I prefer to think of myself as jack-of-all-trades, master of none. ;O) So, I'm debating my last fish. I have two or three months to think about it. I'm on a strict tank budget! I have time to plan. I'm debating between three fish. 1. Blue Neon Goby - I like his small size (not much to the bioload.) I like that he acts like a cleaner wrasse without being a cleaner wrasse. I like that he's bright blue and none of my fish have blue on them. 2. Six Line Wrasse - I like that his has some pretty colors. I LOVE that he likes to eat bad creepy crawlies that may get in the tank. I like his size and purported demeaner. I don't love the looks of him. Kind of ugly. 3. Kole Tang - This is one that almost ended up being an impulse buy but the only thing that talked me out of it was the title of the RS thread "So you think you want a tang?" I figure there must be a lot more research I need to do to get a tang. He is not that pretty, but I saw one in a LFS where every tank had cyano EXCEPT the Kole Tang's tank. They were all interconnected so they shared the same water and filtration and lighting, but this tank was spotless. I could see why. That Kole tang wouldn't stop sucking every bit of the glass and ornaments. |

| Regular Guy Moderator ![]() | Re: Here We Go Again! My Kole Tang was the most beutiful algae buster that I ever had. The trick is to make sure they have deep irredescent purple coloration. Light pink indicates cyanide caught. This is what mine looked like. ![]()

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Here We Go Again! They are on the small side for a tang. That certainly can be an advantage. Personally I am neither thrilled or angry about my six line. He's got lots of color but he is a bit mean particularly around new additions. My maroon clown is worse though.
