Re: My first tank, 450 L

I will show you how the balling products look like, they are made by a company here in Norway.

Then you just mix the products with RO/DI water, and then youre done. If you have a lot of room, then you can make batches with balling that will last for a year or even longer. But i don`t have room for any bigger then these one :

And I use this system to dose it 3 times a day ( I don`t use the products in pic. )

Re: My first tank, 450 L

Thank`s guys. You really make me feel welcome here on this great site! I think that I will start to add some corals when the pay-check comes in july . I think that I will start with hammer, frogspawn, lobophyllia and maybe a clam if I can find a good one. I also want to buy a zebrasoma gemmatum.
I hope you understand my writing, 8 years since I last had english in school, but we all speak reef

Re: My first tank, 450 L

A little update. I have decided to not go with the balling method on my display tank, so i have made a calcium reactor. (i will use balling on my frag tank) ca.reactor:

I have not added any new corals, i want to tune in my ca.reactor before i start adding sps. But i will be getting a lot of frags from rudi`s beuatiful reef next month (this months TOTM on RC). But i have added some new fish:

Chelmon rostratus

Coral beauty:

Centropyge lorriculus:

Zebrazoma desardjinii:

Re: My first tank, 450 L

I have just been through the first month with my acuatronica aquarium computer, and i love it. The coolest thing is that i can see graphs from all my probes on my pc. This is the graph for my salinity, as you can see it is pretty stable at 1026:

Hello Joachim, very nice seeing the different methods and products used in other parts of the world. Your livestock look very healthy!
