| Elegance coral | Re: STT to VT haha! I cant even catch a glimpse of the critter, yet entice him into a glass, nor get my hand in the tank in time to cover it should he decide to enter said glass. I did read a pretty funny article on a guy who got nailed in the finger by one, good bloody photo to boot. (i posted this link earlier in my chronicle). Trust me - my hands will not get near it! |

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Re: STT to VT Yeah it's amazing how much PAIN (other than financially) out tanks really can inflict upon us. I'm still pouting over my Torch Coral popping me in the finger. But that's another story in itself!! Just be careful with your hands IN the tank. Even though you may NOT see him, odds are he WILL see your finger if it's in the right place Better safe than sorry ![]() Allen ![]()

Hi Drew, Mantis cannot swim properly and the glass is high too flatly in it to climb. Indeed, he can also jump well, but from a long drink glass he does not come out again. This boy also had to get to know this.... ![]() Feed him some days directly before the glass, then lay the feed directly in the glass. He will try to get the feed and is caught (hopefully). ![]() ps. ... if you would like to see what he at night everything floats, take a flashlight with a dark red foil about that. Mantis, crabs etc. cannot see red light. You, however, so much the better. and one more tip. Never come with your hand to his sews, he can hit really deep wounds. One does not die of it .... lol … but it hurts very much

| Golden Moray | Re: STT to VT Put the glass direct on the entry right of your first cave. The upper side of the glass should be on same level like the stone so that the Manti can climb in. Of course the glass must be put in that cave sews of the Manti. I hope you understand what I mean? -- If so, how does he get into a tall glass if he is on the sand? -- you must feed him some days, every day closer to the glass. last time directly in front of the glass and than IN the glass...OK ?

| Elegance coral | Re: STT to VT Options are try the cup trap, the bottle trap or pulling this nice rock out and seltzer water the little guy. I have my refugium setup, its a plastic tank, but hes no more than 3/4 an inch long. I'd like him alive if I could, I also dont want to spend days catching him. |

| Tridacna maxima ![]() | Re: STT to VT If you have a place where you can put the LR by itself, eventually he will come off the rock to eat or something (but will continue to be attracted to your girlfriend in the meantime so keep your eye on her), you then pull the rock out and he has nowhere to go. That's how I got both of mine.
