Kewl pics!

The yellow dots are tunicates - I think.
I have a couple of rocks with them.

Do you want me to come over with my trust spear. I will get that taunting crab for you. LOL

Have those "strange" things bee there since you got the rock or have they just shown up. I think they may be eggs of some type but I dont really know.
I bet HMA will know!

... the yellow small points are sponges, if they are larger look it like these:

... and that white looks like Botryllus sp. or a comparable subspecies.

I had those yellow things all over my rock. Unfortunately, none of them survived. I hope you have better luck with them. Did you not find my previous post entertaining?

This kind of sponges come and go. Times there is many small, sometimes some few large ones. If you would like to maintain it longer time, you must particularly feed her with special food.

Great progress on the corner tank.... Always love to see how other fellow corner tank owners get their tank setup. How did you make out with the lights?

Re: STT to VT

Thanks goldenmean, so nice to have someone w/ the same rock and simmilar things. Appreciate you keeping an eye on me!

I caught the BIG one tonight. I pulled the first trap out of the tank to rescue a hermit (i'm great at catching them), this caused some food to escape the trap and that riled up all the crabs. Not 5 minutes later the big guy crawled out and went directly into the other trap.

Every time I build the trap it gets better. This time I hooked some fishing line to the side of the bottle where the crab enters. This way I am able to lift the trap via the fishing line and it tils the trap open side up, making it impossable for the crab to escape.

I put this guy in the refugium w/ the mantis - its on now.
