| Over Achiever | Re: STT to VT The battle is almost won when you locate its lair. Now it's a matter of taking out the rock, setting it on top of a 5 gallon bucket with the opening of its lair facing down into the bucket with some saltwater and pouring seltzer water on the rock. The fizzing freaks them out and it will drop into the bucket below. Be ready with a another bucket of saltwater and a net, because it won't live long in the seltzer/SW in the bucket. Crabs will drop out as well. |

| Tridacna maxima ![]() | Re: STT to VT Could be a number of things. Did it get exposed to air when you put it in your tank or was it submerged the entire time? Is it in an area where you put fresh water into the tank? Is it in a sunny or shady spot? Flow? You will probably get some die-off of this. The sponge that I have left, closes periodically, then opens back up.

| Elegance coral | Re: STT to VT I bought a tiney frag of zoas tonight. I drip acclamated it for an hour, and found a couple hitchhikers - one is entirely too small to even get a photo of. it looks like 1/8th inch sliver of wood. swims. the other is this guy, quite snail like but does odd things when i spring a light on him, like stand up on his 'tail" which sticks to the plastic like a snail would.... hes 3/8th of an inch ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I need to know if I should put him in the tank, or flush him. Thanks! |
