| Golden Moray | DrHank's Tank's 110 gallon mixed reef, 4 - 54w T5s, UV sterilizer, Octopus skimmer, 20 gal sump, 10 gal fuge. Female Genicanthus Melanospilous (Swallowtail) Angel, Purple Tang, Percula Clown, Coral Beauty, Six Line Wrasse, Lawnmower Blenny, and 2 damsels that refuse to be caught. 29 gallon mixed reef, 2-65w PC, Coralife 65 skimmer (blah), 10 gal sump, Juvenile Cinnamon Clown pair, Chalk Basslet, Bi Colored Blenny. 210 gallon mixed reef (to consolidate the 110 and 29) build in progress. 65 gallon mixed reef build on hold for my office. I've been doing freshwater on and off for over 35 years doing freshwater, 30 years on and off doing saltwater, and about 6-7 years doing reefs. I started with a slate bottom metal frame 20 gallon tank on a wrought iron stand which should bring back memories for a few of you. The rest will probably wonder what the heck I'm talking about. I'll try to get a few pictures up when I get a chance. |

| Golden Moray | Re: DrHank's Tank's Ok, I know that you folks are probably looking for some nice pictures of established tanks. Sorry! Can't post any till they get all cleaned up. You know how it goes. So here's a shot of my summer project: ![]() I call it a 210 gallon but at 96"X24"X 22" it falls somewhat shy of that. Oh well, what's in a name. It covers the wall between the den and kitchen and should be pretty nice when its finished. I hope to complete the stain, varnish, seal and paint on the hood and doors over the weekend. I'll try to get a few shots of my 110 and 29 (what will end up in the big boy) over the weekend. |

| Golden Moray | Re: DrHank's Tank's It's a project to say the least but it's coming aalong well. Robert to answer your questions: the skimmer for this tank is a MRC MR-2 powered by a Mag 18, lighting will start out being a combination of 2 - 250w MH and the 4- 54w T5's from the 110 ( I'm going to play with the lighting) until I come up with the combination I like. It will have a fine layer of sand which may wind up a SSB. I like the Octopus skimmer very much. I'll be moving it to the 65 gal I'm working on for the office. |
