Re: DrHank's Tank's

One last shot of my Purple Tang (Woodstock's right the white spot went away this evening)

And finally my Orange Spotted Goby Grabber AKA/ Jack (my daughters Jack Russell Terrier)

The poor fish didn't stand a chance it hit the floor and the dog hit it. Can you say Jack Flash?!!

Re: DrHank's Tank's

Oh my, I know that isn't funny at all, but it's good to see that my dogs aren't the only fish grabbers! I had a better outcome though. I taught them to "GIVE"! They actually saved my Pyle Wrasse's life! I would never have noticed that she jumped out, but my dogs were right on her (always on the lookout for the treats) the second she landed! I was mad at them at first, but that fish is alive because they were there to catch her (mom was not paying attention).

Re: DrHank's Tank's

They make some really cute doggie "backpack" jackets now so that Jack can carry around his own essentials, there's some extra pockets so he can bag some fish for you...

Thanks folks, I don't know what I would do without your assistance. I'll pass your suggestions on to Jack and see what he thinks!

Re: DrHank's Tank's

Love the tank Doc! Wow two doctors to deal with now.....
I would not worry the tangs color. Mine does that also. I have an Atlantic blue. It is stress related. Probably the flash from the camera.

Re: DrHank's Tank's

My purple tang gets that white spot too. I think it's from him scraping along the bottom searching for missing pellet food and getting a sand spot on him. It usually goes away pretty quickly.

Have you every fed him a piece of purple seaweed soaked with selcon, zoe, and garlic? WOW! He gets vicious! I also have a hippo tang and a foxface that love the seaweed too but purple usually grabs it and plays keep away from the others. He is lightning fast too! It's a blast to watch.

No, he and my blue spotted rabbitfish go nuts for the green nori. I soak it in selecon every few days.
