Well, my wife is getting pretty down about the tank. Husky was her favorite fish. The only reason she still liked it after the clowns died. She does have an artistic side (one of the best opera voices I've heard, and can sing in 5 languages!) so I figure there's no better time to reaquascape than the present! Thus it begins:
Had to move the corals to the sump first:

Then all the rocks had to go:

BTW, the first rock we bought is behind the center LR, holding it up.

Did I forget to mention that I convinced her to reaquascape because I "just couldn't find a place to put my new coral"?

One downside to reaquascaping... Everything has to find a new home:

Poor little tube worm had a great spot, right in the flow stream. Now he's pointed straight down into the sandbed!

I had another algae bloom shortly after the reaquascaping. I suppose that's normal.

So I went back to Ocean Wonders and picked up some Nassarius Vibex to help out the Astrea and Turbos that survived the hermit crabs (which will live out their days in the sump). Gotta love watching those snails come out at feeding time!

but they just weren't cutting it. So did some research and found Ceriths would be a good addition to the mix.

Wow! Feels great to have all that off my chest.
I know how much everyone hates the folk that get into this hobby without knowing anything, but I'm doing my best. Which is quite a bit more than it was before I found RS! If I find that I've left anything out of the story, I'll add it tomorrow.
As for now, I've got to accomplish something around the house today!

The tank looks great and the cats are adorable. Mine love to watch the tank as well. I call it my kitty cat TV.
