Hello everyone! Just thought we'd post some pics and give an update. We had a sun coral arrive in the mail today and put it in the tank a few hours ago, and my hammer coral was feeling particularly photogenic today as well.

Nice FTS and hammer, but I am sorry to say that the sun coral that was shipped to you is either on the verge of death or already dying.. Hate to bring the bad news. I like your tank a lot, though!!!

You're not bringing bad news. I know there is bleaching, and it is severely retracted. But what you can't see from the pictures, is that the center polyps are still intact. I'm going to see what happens tonight with it. I fully expect to lose the polps he cut through. And if I lose them all there is a live guarantee(I already contacted him with pics). Still there's no hurt in trying.

Nothing new to update. Sun still hasn't extended, but I'm not seeing any die-off either. Clowns are becoming finicky eaters, which is ticking me off! Middle of a garage sale this weekend... it's going well... Blah blah blah...
I really just wanted to test out my new .gif :

I love the hammer. It's my favorite of the week. Last week it was the acro. Maybe next will be the Ric's again. I either need more corals, or start making them favorites of the month!
The Sun still has not extended. VERY close inspections have led to me seeing no tissue recession to speak of, so I don't think it's dying. I just don't know how long it can go without opening up and eating before it does. I've been trying to coax it open with meaty foods several times/day and night. No successes yet.
I've read somewhere that they can take up to 2 weeks to open, tomorrow marks one full week. Really starting to get impatient!

The yard sale went really well. Made more money than I thought I would, although I do still have a lot to give to GoodWill and Salvation Army. It was a great opportunity to catch up with some of my neighbors, as well as meet some new ones. I really do love the area I live in. Lot's of cool people around.

Forgot to mention that the clowns are doing great in the new Nano. They both have their appetite's back and are starting to pair up more. I catch them grinding up on each other quite a bit now. When we first dropped them in they each stuck to their own side of the tank. Now StoneEssence and I are making bets on which one will turn out to be the female.
