| Golden Moray | Re: Kim’s 120 Possibilities I'll keep your idea in mind Fran. Post a pic when you find it. I just picked up 75lbs of Caribsea Pink Figi sand.... I hope it's enough for both the tank and fuge. I'm going for a SSB in the main display, if not oh well, I'll just pick up some more. I've gotta grab the PVC for the standpipe mod tonight and some suction cups for the auto top off. I've become a part of the ACE hardware family...lol...

| Golden Moray | Re: Kim’s 120 Possibilities Thanks Steve, I like the lifters too...I haven't seen too many of them around at this size... I got some serious mama's there. Thanks Rodge, by the way, I love your spidy man. its so you! So cioutlaw, how are you liking your 120 drilled on the side? Thanks Boozman, I thought it was cleaver too....if I don't say so myself...hehehe... Cheeks, I have to get an extender for my skimmer. I had it propped up on a 1/2" piece of plywood and then thought...just do it right...the only problem is that I have to go to an actual plumbing store, Ace, HomeDepots and Lowes dont carry the size I need...shucks!!!... I'll get your pics up soon. Ohhh, and Dave...I just may need some advise on the damn gurgle buster, I already had to improvise, Ace didn't carry a 1 1/2" - 1" coupler. I am determined to get at least the routering of the PVC done tonight.

| Golden Moray | Re: Kim’s 120 Possibilities ok, the gurgle buster is in. Once the silicone sets up, probably tomorrow. The water will go in again and I'll be making my marks on the sump. I want maximum water in the sump. I learned an important thing tonight. Turn all the pumps off.... water will drain into the sump until the water is under the stand pipe AND till water breaks the syphon of the return! Water was dumping on the garage floor and I was like....but the water is under the pipe...what the !!! Then it dawned on me...lift the flex hose on the return ![]() Good thing to know, good thing the tank was in the garage. Sorry folks, its slow and go with me ![]()

if you mean drilling my overflows on a short end I love it! I dont think I would have a tank any other way. Makes the tank seem like 8ft long being you have both sides to work with, if i had a a normal tank against the wall my tank would be crowded & not much room for new corals(what fun would that be?) cant wait to see yours progress. You have a great start. | |

| Golden Moray | Re: Kim’s 120 Possibilities thanks! We had our tanks drilled around the same time and when I saw how yours was done, I kinda wished I had done mine that way. Pretty sweet to have so much room to work with and to view.
