Re: The 90G Build.

Some new roomates.

Hawaiian Tang

Blue Tang, Couldnt really get a good pic. Its none stop!

Got these guys snorkling today, 2 gobies and a file fish.

Goby blends In with the rock so good somtimes I look right past It.

The filefish are so peaceful and such a very slow swimmer you can just scoop them up with you hand.

Re: The 90G Build.

Looking good! I love it that you are collecting your own specimens. Do you live on the beach? Where do you snorkle in Palm Beach? It'll be interesting to see how these Atlantic specimens interact with the Pacific specimens.

I snorkel off the Blue Herion Inlet right by Peanut Island. There Is 2 sailboats that went down a couple hurricanes ago and they turned Into some nice little reefs.

Re: The 90G Build.

My husband and I got in a debate a couple of weeks ago about whether or not you can collect coral in FL. I was wrong and in fact you are allowed to take 6 soft corals per day for personal use not for profit, You cannot take rock though. Just a little tidbit if you want some local coral as well as the fish. He found it on the Sate of Florida web site if you want to verify. (I would. )

Re: The 90G Build.

Wow thats nice to know thanks for the Info Ill deffinetly look Into It. As far as I knew It was Illegal to take from the Florida keys but Im not positive. Even to the extent of being caught down there with corals could result In jail time. I had went back and forth with some FMAS people and they seem to be positive It Is Illegal, they even went to the extent to tell me Its Illegal to collect blue legged hermits which Is one of my 3 yr old son favorite thing to do. Well unforchant for me my little snorkel location has no corals but maybe they will start to grow one day .

Re: The 90G Build.

Got some new tank mates over the weekend. Caught a monster size Goby, a shrimp, a Canthigaster rostrata (sharpnose puffer), and some small conch. The puffer Is a little smaller than my thumb and seems to keep to Itself and Isnt causing any trouble with anyone else aswell. I had to send the File fish back to the big blue because It actually turned out to be a little terror towards my yellow tang.
