I allmost would have to say there was not much of a cycle, between the LR and dosing the tank for 7 days straight with stability. All test's resulted In 0 or undetectable, but I'm still testing water once a week for procaution.

Re: The 90G Build.

Way cool beans!

Remember, anemone fish or clown fish, are members of the damsel family and you will see this symbiotic behavior in damsels. Glad you're having fun, thanks for the pics!

Re: The 90G Build.

I had an anemone back when I had my first s/w tank and a domino damsal, and the funny thing that happened almost freaked me out. I was checking out the tank late one night and could not find the damsel what so ever. Finally I seen him In lying still pretty much enclosed In the anemone. So after being somewhat upset thinking the anemone was going to have a nice dinner I seen the damsal move around and then leave the anemone and swim right back again. I figured the damsal seeked protection at night and this Is what It did. During the day It would be out and about other places around the tank away from the anemone. From there I watched the damsal swim every night to the anemone when the lights went off. Later I found out that damsals also would take to anemone.

Re: The 90G Build.

I have heard the same thing about Arrow crabs. They are so cool though! It's great that you are collecting your own specimens. I used to dive off the coast of West Palm Beach, Florida when I was a teenager. Collected Blue Headed wrasses, Rock Beauty angelfish, Yellow Headed jawfish and a slew of others. Where do you snorkle?

Re: The 90G Build.

Do you think the Koralia # 4 is overkill or is it perfect. I also have a 90 gallon and was just going to order the #3.

Re: The 90G Build.

Right off the Blue Herion bridge Phil Foster park, next to peanut Island. There Is 2 sailboats thats went down a couple of years ago from one of our nice hurricanes that came through, Its right off the inlet beach. Both sit In about 5 feet of water, Its created a nice home for thousands of species. I cant even begin to tell whats down there, from hundreds of gobys, that Im still trying to catch there just too fast. There Is a wide range of angles, butterflies, Sgt majors by the dozen and really big snappers. I love It at low tide Its about 4 feet deep, high tide 6-7 feet and the boats are fully under water.

Not at all IMO I think the 2 - K4 I have In there are perfect. I see no signs of my fish trying to fight It. Both my clowns will swim near them with no problems. I think Its also keeping the tank well circulated with no dead spots yet to come about, but the tank Is to new to tell. Go for the 4' you want be sorry.
