Re: Andy's 29 Gallon Reef

Unfortunately, I got a bit of a "slap on the wrist" for bandwidth usage at work last week, so my RS visits are sure to be less frequent for at least a little while Anyhow, Back to business!

So far so good! System seems to be handling everything extremely well, I've been trying to capture the last green chromis so that I can take him to the LFS, and lighten the bio-load on my tank slightly. I have no desire to add any more fish, I'd be content with my two clowns and blenny I'm sure part of my tank's success is due to having a skimmer rated for a tank nearly three times the size of mine, and of course, all of the help I've received from you guys! I will try to take a few pictures of my blenny like i promised today, although I may not have much time, as today's my birthday, which in my family makes it feel more like a work day But I'll be back soon with pictures and more to come!

Re: Andy's 29 Gallon Reef

Alright, here we go! first off, I know i promised pictures of my Blenny, and haven't held up to my promise... although he's not the easiest critter in the reef to snap a good photograph of! anyhow, here's one of him hanging out in his favorite rock:

Also, I've been fragging a bit.. I now have a new frag of my radioactive dragon eye zoas, as well as another morph on the same rock, and a new frag of my ring of fire zoa's on a new rock.

Last but not least, a photo of my rics that I snapped a couple of minutes after feeding. Man is Cyclop-eeze amazing!!

Lastly, I plan on attempting to build a DIY reactor for phosban/carbon with a gatorade bottle, although i am a bit nervous about leaking water, so i haven't gotten started with that project yet. I'll keep you all posted though!

Re: Andy's 29 Gallon Reef

Thanks guys! Hah, Thanks Scott Turns out the second little frag is also radioactive dragon eyes. I picked the lose frag up off of my ring of fire's... looks like they were trying to infiltrate their "zone" Hopefully they all do well, All frags were open this morning so it's only a matter of time

Well, I'm back in town.. and everything seems to be doing well with the exception of the brain... which looks like it may be on it's way out. I'm crossing my fingers though! and here's a picture, although slightly blurry of my bicolor blenny

Re: Andy's 29 Gallon Reef

Thanks Scott I just got back in town, and had the overflow box off, since I didn't want the pump to run dry at any point. I put it back on today, so i guess i'll have a fair judgment in a couple of days here Haha I love the way the tank looks at night! I actually flipped my pillow around on my bed so that i face my tank instead of my tv

Re: Andy's 29 Gallon Reef

Hey Andy, glad you are back, hope you had a good time. I like your blenny, he is pretty darned neat if you ask me. Hey, I got a really really lime green ric today, very small but it will be growing in no time. I have devoted one corner of my tank to rics now, kind of wish I had done that in the beginning, but believe it or not I really didn't like them when I started all of this, now they are one of my favs. Oh, I got a sun today too. Anyway, your tank is looking good. I am still debating on what size nano I want to get...lol
