| Tuxedo Urchin | After the Big Move WOW!!!!! It has been a long time since I have been here. A lot has happened since my last few posts to my thread. First of all I've moved and managed to successfully moved my tank to my new loft. After much debate I decided it was best to get some help from the LFS I purchase most of my equipment from. The cost of this was not going to be much more than all the livestock I would have lost doing the move myself. After just about 5 hours and moving 100 gallons of water down 29 floors, across the city and into the new place I came away with only one loss...one of my green chromis didn't make it )-; Not good, but not bad considering the amount of the time the system was down and the stress they were put through. Here are some recent shots of the set-up in it new home. ![]() Every thing is looking good two weeks after the move. All levels have been good and my cyano IS GONE!!!! However, I think I have a slight diatom problem. Lastly, the set-up at my old place had my auto top off hooked to a float switch directly to the RO/DI Unit; that is not an option here. Right now I am manually doing this which is a bit of a pain. I need to hook up a reservoir, but haven't figured out how exactly as I want to do this. I don't have much rooms under my sump....suggestions are welcome (-; Cheers..it's nice to be back!

| Tuxedo Urchin | Re: 90 Gallon Starphire Start-up Thanks SCUBADrew...ya the move was not fun...a long stressful day for sure. I don't think I will be moving again anytime soon; I'd be happy to grow old in my place now just so I don't have to move the tank again! Was just checking out your thread a few minutes ago...looking good too! I will have to take time time and catch up on it. Cheers

| Tuxedo Urchin | Re: 90 Gallon Starphire Start-up Since things are getting settled in the new location I figured it was time for some additions. Swissgurd, a fellow RS member that has been helping me since I started this escapade about a year ago, brought over some frags for me this weekend. Here are some shots taken just a few minutes ago: Some Zoos: Green Staghorn: Blue/Green Candycane: Purple Montipora Digitata: This was my first mounting job! What I have been told is a Prostata (acropora)? But I haven't been able to track this down in any books or online? Any ideas on this? Sorry for the bad Pic. I am going to mount this later and I will take a better shot. Here is antoher FTS: I am also going to start dosing Prodibo. I will start with the BioClean and then in about 6 weeks start the reed booster. The Bioclean should help some alge issues I am having resutling in seveal glass cleanings a day. Swissguard has had success with this restuling in cleaning only once every week or two. I will be sure to keep some photos of the progress. I will start today after my water change.

| Tuxedo Urchin | Problem with my Xenia? One other thing I have noticed in the past few weeks is the appearence of my Xenia. here is a photo of it two weeks ago: And here is a phot of it today: You can seen in the more recent photo it is clearly not opened up as much as it was previously. It has been like this for over a week now. I have tested all my levels and everything is where it should be. Does anyone have any experience with Xenia acthing this way? If so, do you know a potnetial cause? Thanks ![]()
