Just need a plane ticket! If I plan this right, the move will be over before I arrive and I can just enjoy all your work! Good luck...

Re: 90 Gal Sick Day...

Best of luck to 'ya Lisa! Don't think of it as work, think of it as a remodeling, an opportunity to make it better, and most of all have fun! Looking forward to the results.

Re: 90 Gal Sick Day...

Thanks guys and gals. The 90 gal has been successfully moved. It was not one of the easier things I've done, LOL. It is set up and re"scaped". Well... mostly. I have some pics which I will post tomorrow. Bad news is, I still have 2 more tanks to move. Good news is that they are WAY smaller.

Re: 90 Gal Sick Day...

Good luck with the move. Hopefully you won't have to do it again anytime soon. Very nice of your lfs to help out. You are obviously a very good customer.

Not much activity here! How did the move go? How's the tank? Haven't seen much of you around, everything a-ok?

Re: 90 Gal Sick Day...

ROFLMAO... OK. I have been super busy. I got the 90 moved and I'm really not happy with the way it is scaped. BUT... since I like you, Scott, I'm gonna go ahead and post some pics of the move...

If you have followed this thread from the beginning you will find a little irony in this...
Irony.JPG

And here are a few shots of the MESS!!!

Move1.JPG
Move 2.JPG
Move3.JPG

Basically we took a bunch of coolers that my LFS receives their shipments in. We put large trash bags in them. The ForceFlex ones worked really well...
Filled the coolers/bags up with water and seperated the corals accordingly so that there would be no warfare going on during the move. We put the rock in coolers as well. Made sure that it was plenty wet and then we drained the rest of the water from the tank. With the exception of enough to keep the sand bed completely covered. We left the sump/refugium inside the stand for the move and drained it fairly low. Fish were put in 5 gal buckets filled with water. I used all of the original water except for about 40'ish gallons. But, it needed a water change anyway, lol.
I must say it was a challenge moving that 90 with over 120lbs of sand and however much water was still left in it. I, needless to say, was pretty sore for a few days.
