Re: 90 Gal Sick Day...

Alright well there are a couple options here. My tank was moved 3000 miles and thrown into little 20 gallon tanks with uncured rock and stuff in them and things lived. Anemones are actually a lot hardier than most people give them credit for.

If it were me I would get cured live rock for the 90, make sure it doesn't smell like sulfur at all, and use the old 30 gallon rock and sand. In my 90 the tank was up for about 3 days before I put in all my animals and all are still alive and with me 2 1/2 months later. I would say just go for it!!

Thanks Matt. Luckily, I will be able to keep the cube running through the process. Sounds good. Thanks Again.

Re: 90 Gal Sick Day...

Well... I left the eastern shore of MD at 9:30 am yesterday.
After 4 "pit stops" at rest areas, 2 McD's drive thru's, one gas station, a short, but very enjoyable visit with Woodstock and her family (thanks again), a REALLY sore butt, 702.9 miles and 13 1/2 hours later... I've got this!

mini-100_1312.JPG

Snug as a bug in a rug!!!

I am patiently (well, not really) waiting for my hubby (aka party pooper) to gain enough energy/motivation to help me bring it in.
I'm planning to touch up the paint on the back and scrape, scrape, scrape today.
Tomorrow, I will pick up my glass for my sump, and some plumbing supplies.

Re: 90 Gal Sick Day...

Dogs are great for sorting through your old odds and ends and determining which ones you really need. I made the mistake of emptying out my tub of stuff and leaving in out for my 10 month old pup to sort through for me. She decided I don't need strainer baskets, filter sponges, tees, and adaptors. Have fun with the setup. Can you leave the 30 gallon setup in place until the 90 cycles, then move stuff over gradually?

Re: 90 Gal Sick Day...

Thanks Dentoid... it's gonna be fun!

Yeah Woodstock... had to stop around the corner to "rearrange" because something was making a really irritating noise. It traveled really well. Everytime I heard a noise I would want to check it! Thanks!

Yes BSJ... I will, if everything goes as planned be able to keep the cube going. I can't wait to eventually join the BSJ club...
