Re: blcktitaniums 185gal Starphire or Acrylic New Tank Build

Spectacular build. I love the tank. Mine is 3 sided as well and I absolutely love the look. Good choices on the equipment as well.
I can't wait to see it up and running. This is going to be a sweet reef.

Thanks, I'm hoping that it will be an outstanding reef. I'm trying my best to ensure that I get at least the majority of the equipment right the first time around.

When you aquascape do lots of arches. I love looking through the arches from one side of the tank to the other. I think that is my favorite part of my tank. Then I have all the corals either on top of the arch or in the columns supporting the arches.

I agree, I plan on having arches and caves as much of both as I can. I hope to get it right we will see. My LR will be in at my lfs on Friday they will, picking there shipment up on that day. So thats the day that the fun part of setting up my tank begins.

I'm having a world of a time with my plumbing right now it is killing slowly. I should have it all plumbed by days end and I will include photos at that time.

Very, very nice Blk.. Was this tank at Socal's site? I think I saw it.. I still go there even after my tank was built to see their upcoming projects.. Did they build the stand and canopy as well??

Yeah they built the entire complete tank package. I must say for some very young guys, they are extremely talented and do very very nice work. I couldn't be more happier with my choice of builder.

Re: blcktitaniums 185gal Starphire or Acrylic New Tank Build

Okay I'm finally finished with my close loops plumbing and I have tried to include pictures but i'm out of space. I have a total of 10 jets on my return system in all 3 of which are facing directly towards the bottom to keep the water movement around the rock work but I have ran out of space to post pictures.

My goal is to have at least a total flow of 12000gph, a bit much but I believe it will benefit my tank in the long run. I will be testing the plumbing out here shortly.

Are you sure you are out of space? Your gallery doesn't look very full. You can put the pics in your gallery and then go to the bottom where ther eis a button that says copy to clipboard. Copy the code in the box with the button and then paste it into your thread.
If you really are out of space you can either become a Premium Member which will give you extra space, delete some of the older pics, or start putting the pics on a picture storage site like Photobucket and paste the links in your thread.

Glad I could help.
It looks like you are going to have some serious flow there. Are you going for sps?

Looks great Blck.. Are you going to put any plastic down in your cabinet in case of a leak?
