Thanks, I love my kalk reactor, all I have to do is about every three weeks it empty it and put in a few scoops of kalk and it dose the rest! There are alot more easier DIY versions that are not as complicated out there.

WOW, did you know that salt water and electricity don't mix? I guess I didn't find all the drips and a small fire started! Luckily I was siting here and I have lots of GFI's, so I only lost a fan (as of now)

so for everything is, a emergency run to the hardware store to get some goop for the plumping, once it cures my problem should be fixed

well so far all that was lost was a $8 fan, no biggy but you can buy a fan in Florida for some reason

oh they are no fun. We had our first tank fire back in 2001, but there was no GFI so the whole power strip and everything atatched to it was melted. Its nice to know that GFI's work. Its a good thing it is cold now in Fl otherwise I would need to keep my lights off as to not overheat the tank since the fan is gone

WE've got a couple of fans lying around if you need them. Just give a call.
Very good thing you were home though and good going with the GFI. Glad all you lost was a fan.

Thanks lynn, but I just repaired the fan, so now all I lost was a 3 way adapter.......

well I guess I will continue and maybe finish my lil story.......

July was another good month, not much was happening and my wife and I made a agreement not to buy any more SPS or difficult corals and just have a bunch of easy stuff to have. It was getting depressing watching everything die and then having to re buy. So here are some pics.......

My old DIY 2 part doser........................

I replaced it with a calcium reactor, now the area behind my recliner was getting packed.....

I also got a new camera this month! So I played around with the setting and such......
