I am so sorry about the clowns. That is truly tragic particularly since they are so rare.

I can't imagine the horror these fish went through, it makes my stomach turn!

I'm sorry this happened to you of all people and I'm mournful for the fish, it must of been terrifying for them, then to lose their lives in a dark cardboard box.

Ouch. I just hung up with them. It's not looking good at the refund department either.... Silly me! I thought all online vendors had an 'arrive alive' gaurantee....

I'd say IF they wish to stay in business long term they should have that policy.

He will call me back later today with a definate resolution. He mentioned a 50% store credit

but with no 'arrive alive' gaurantee, why would I want to put more money into possibly dead livestock??

I will understandably eat the shipping cost but I would like my money back....

Someone pinch me, I think I'm having a nightmare~

If he didn't offer 100% replacement (not including shipping MAYBE) I wouldn't do business with him anymore. And honestly, I would go to bat for you and send an email on your behalf. Just let me know.

That's terrible news Doni, my condolences

I can't believe they don't have an arrive alive guarantee, is it on all the fish or just the pricey/delicate sp. ?

Although I did not specifically ask that question, I got the impression that there was no 'arrive alive' guarantee on anything. He said that "they were alive when I bagged them..."
They are very new to online dealings and procedures. Their website isn't even up yet.
Hopefully, he will call back with a proper resolution....

If they don't, at least, have an arrive alive guarantee, that makes me wonder. You have no idea, except for the word of that lunk head at the other end of the line, that these fish weren't bagged dead! Without an arrive alive guarantee they are not motivated to see to it that they do arrive alive. Where would the cold have come from?

Good Point.

Well, they were shipped from Washington State around 5pm yesterday and arrived at my work this morning at 9:30 am. Considering the time zone difference, they made it to me in record time!! (Compliments of DHL) I don't know how cold it is in Washington but here in NC it gets to the mid 60's at night.

I'm surprised they won't at least credit you for the fish since they showed up DOA. If they showed up in a timely manner it isn't the shippers fault, if they were dead before you got them it isn't your fault...
Anyhow, I'm very surprised they don't at least do a credit.
I'm making some calls for you tomorrow though
