BWolf's 75 gallon Nano!

As of 3:30 am last night... this morning? Im not sure now Im going on 3 hours sleep per day for the last 3 days.... Anyways.... 120lbs LS in display, transfered 56lbs LR from the curing tub, 20lbs LS in fuge about 55 gallons of water in display and 10 in fuge got the temp up to 76 when I went to sleep its at 79 now which is what I keep the Cube so its good. The rest of the water/sand/rock to come from the Cube. Im running 2 of the tunze 6025's atm for circulation and they are moving the water quite well one of them is VERY noisy. Still havent plugged in the new lights. One thing I have to say is that they are BIG. They take up the whole top of the tank with BARELY enough room to open the glass canopy and at that I cant open it all the way. No way am I gonna be able to get an arm down in there for anything without removing the lights. These lights are heavy and ackward for ME to move about and Im 6'-3" Well ok back to work! Time to get wet and see if I can do anything with these HUGE boulders I got for rock.... I may have to get out the sledge on some of these.... WHAT was I thinking thanks for cheering me on! (LOL I ramble when Im sleepy)

Well they are sweet looking but gonna be a pain to work with for sure. Its a pain now taking them down and they arent hot or pugged in... I can just see it now some tank emergency, I grab the hot lights wrench them off the tank, realize they are hot and drop em on my foot! Oh and they arent light weight either. Your tank is same as mine just a few inches higher and I bet you arent 6-3" so you may have a problem gettin up there.... lights are 48 3/8" x 15" Bottom of fixture is about 2" above the tank.... if they had taller legs but then you are moving the lights away from the tank... maybe a pully system ... You can hang em

Im still waiting on the overnight fed ex delivery with the fish... regular fed ex guy came already...

I have burnt my arm several times on my sunpod... not fun. The good thing about it is with the Cube I can slide it back and forth to get it outta the way. I'm not going to want to hang them. Yeah... I'm not quite 6'3". guess I should get a stool now.

Ya Im thinking totaly bassswakr... what you said. You can only slide these about 1.5" total if you keep them centered on the tank and that doesnt help much. Im just glad I went with the 150's They wont burn me as bad. Those 250's sure are gonna sting

I would remove the glass canopies to allow for more airflow/gas exchange and dissipation of heat.

Well.... IF they ever come and IF they arent frozen... I think at this point they will have to go in the big tank... Not sure how I can keep the Cube going right now My brain is only working at half speed Isnt Fed Ex supposed to deliver overnight stuff by 10am?

Are you topless Woody? I thought about doing it but what about salt creep, evap and jumpy fish? I know I can use egg crate but...

I've been topless since the light upgrade... Thought I would have issues, cat and dog hair, etc. Hasn't been that bad (salt creep) except it really shows up on those black light fixtures. I just wipe it down when I'm mag floatin'. Evap, for me is about a gallon + per week for the cube. I have no jumpy fishies, but I had a shrimp jump once. Luckily, he didn't come out and go carpet surfing.

I didnt even think of the cat and dog hair!!!! A gallon per week on the cube is a lot but you do have MH so I guess you kinda gotta go topless or your gonna have a fish fry! Are you gonna go topless on the 90?

Well I dont think I will be goin topless ... maybe in the summer. We'll see. I cant go to lowes now anyways. Im stuck waiting for damn Fed X!!!! Im at a stand still. Everything is kinda done till new fishys come. Transfered everything out of my little fuge into the new one... stacked the rock tentatively till I figure out whats what aquascaping is kinda weak compared to my cube but....
