Ummmm ok this is not good!!! My PH just JUMPED from 8.2 to 8.7.....

8.4-8.5 will be okay. You can SLOWLY add white vinegar to bring it down. Don't add too much or the PH will drop too low.

Once again THANK YOU WOODSTOCK!!!! Emergency averted... PH steady at 8.24 I brought it down to 8.4 with the vinegar and then did my weekly WC but 20% instead of 10% Everything is looking good now.
I spoke to Roger Vitko at TunzeUSA via email...
He said the system was designed to supply about 1 cup of water at a time... I supplied about a gallon.... hence the Kalk OD.... wont happen again now that everything is setup

Resevoir with pump and calc reactor Holds about 6 gallons or so...

Over fill float switch... (I lowered it after my fiasco)

2 much kalk pumped into the system all in one shot... Was my bad... from now on in it will only be pumping about 1 cup of water at a time... I hope

Looks cool, Darth Vadarish! Now I have something to look at when I set mine up. Which didn't come today. Well, anytime this week will be ok, since I won't work on it 'til this weekend.
I may have some questions, so stay around this weekend.

That's what scares me, that ph spike when you hook up to a good size reservoir ! I'm going on vacation in a few months and will have to invest in something for topoff, maybe a peristaltic pump. Glad you were able to correct this situation quickly Brotha, great suggestion Doni !

It was my fault Although if the manual was more clear I probably would have avoided the situation. There are a bunch of safety features on this unit. I feel pretty confident it will now work as intended and I wont have further PH issues but I will keep you posted
