Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

If you view the photoshows of my tank, there is a tab in the upper left corner that says Album, you can click that, pick out your favorite, download it, and presto you have a pic for a screensaver (or laminated float in tank variety).

I think if you have a Bluespot screensaver you should qualify for the club, what do you think?

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

Yesterday I got my Korallin calcium reactor going. My goal was to fire it up when my calcium started dropping. I switched to TM Pro salt, from Oceanic, and have noticed the drop. Yesterday it tested 320, so I got it dripping. Started with a bubble rate of 10 bubbles/min and drip rate of 40 drops/min. Today it tested 390.

My BTA is a little pouty, it has retracted behind the rocks and has not come out today. My clowns are beside themselves without their host. I don't know what happened. Perhaps, because I added some buffer to raise the alkalinity? Possibly the Ca drip? Whatever, I hope it recovers. The fish are all doing great. Eating like pigs and dawdling all over the tank.

Ordered an Osmolator (waiting for its arrival) and a Phosban reactor (will set it up tomorrow), Still contemplating A DIY on my ProClear trickle filter to convert to a sump/refugium. Been doing alot of research and gathering the materials, hopefully soon though.

Since this is such a visual place, here are some updated photos.

Full tank 02-16-07

New Midas Blenny added 02-09-07. He replaces the one lost to carpet surfing. I'll be darned if he didn't take up residence in the same hole as the previous blenny. Must be some good digs!

And finally, a Royal Gramma. To me one of the prettiest fish in the sea. Inexpensive but rich in color and personality.

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

Make sure you are keeping an eye on your PH and magnesium levels if you are making changes to your calc and things don't seem to be well. Did you switch cold turkey or gradually convert over from the IO, that may be another consideration. I'm surprised the Tropic Marin Pro gives you a lower calc level than IO did. I haven't found it around here, but I would have thought the levels would have been quite high. Good luck with your BTA. Glad the Midas has settled in to the pre-decorated home. My bi-color travels to his many homes throughout my tank. Yesterday the little s*** bit me when I was fixing a mushroom rock that got flipped over. He has quite a punch. He does the same thing to my Palani (the biggest fish in the tank). Someday I think he will be lunch.

I think February 27th might be a good BS awareness day...

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

Your tank is looking great! Good job.
I can't wait till you get your bluespot, We will need lots of pictures.
I hope the anemone comes back for you. Your clown must be very upset. I know mine was when I lost my anemone, but he seems very happy with his scrolling hammer now.
Keep up the good work and pics of bluespot when you get him.
