Scott! catch that crab, paint it pink and send it to the wrong side of town, man that sucks, evil evil crabs, start digging for that elegance I find those gorilla crabs take stuff to cover their hide outs, it may just be sitting there looking for you, best of luck and pull a leg off for me ok? I'm trying to catch it. I know where it is and I have my spring loaded trap set up. All I've caught is a hermit and a Nassirus snail! The crab won't bite! Still haven't found the Elegance!

Possibly a little late night spearcrabbing with a red light and homemade hawaiian sling (cocktail fork and rubberband). Happy hunting!

Happy Crab Hunting.
I prefer the 12 inch long wooden shish-ka-bob skewer.
I have also made a trap from a plastic 16oz water bottle as shown on the TBS web site

It works! There is a gorilla crab in that trap. Just put a bit of food for bait.

I tried to get it yesterday and all I got were hermits! It has moved again, I don't know where it is.

Lorraine, with a crab that big are your smaller rocks and frags coming up missing or moved?

That bottle trap is a good idea, but I think my crab wouldn't fit through that opening!

Elegance still MIA!

I keep hoping it will float out where I can see it. No such luck!
