Lorraine, if you look back at the last posted full tank shot, BS is smack in the front, middle of the tank. You can see her hanging out just above her rocky burrow.

I'm gathering the materials I need to convert my trickle filter into a fuge/sump.. I'm wating on the "Weld-it 4" acrylic cement that I ordered on line. Should be here this week. I started cutting the acrylic baffles I will need and fitting them. I'm going to have to empty the filter and dry it well, before cementing the pieces. All the while there will be no filtration! If I have problems w/this DIY, plan B is to cut the sucker in half and remove it and replace it with a new fuge/sump. I'll post some pictures when I actually get down to the construction phase of the project.

Thanks Snelly! Your BS still coming April 1st? How's your Hadoni?

LOL...I just got lucky, I guess. Dotty is not that skittish. I think she likes being at the front so she can see when the food is coming!

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

Training a Bluespot is easy, you just sit and stare and it, then tell it that it is really cute! It will stay there and soak it up all day. Just like my doggies, treats don't hurt either!

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

I really ejoyed reading about how you got started in this great hobby.
I too have spent time in Florida hunting for SW specimens while
my buddies were spear fishing. It makes my eyes light up when there
I discover something that I have never seen beofre. I do miss Florida.

Also, I have been a little worried about my condition. I am obsessed with
my tank (and it is only 10 gallons.) I constantly stare at it, make daily
tests to ensure water quality, and itch feverishly with anticipation when
thinking about what I am going to put in it. I am glad to have found a
place where I am not alone. It's nice to have found freaks like me !

Great threat! I gasped loudly when I read about the broken heater and electro shock.... I had some people check to see if I was alright!
Your tank is beautiful. Love the salfin and red mushrooms.
Sorry about your Blenny...so cute. I saw some while snorkling off the coast of the Keys just earlier this month. Keep up the great work!

LOL!...I'm super freaky! Your condition is called reef adictitis and we all have it or we wouldn't be in this hobby. It won't be long before you upgrade to a bigger tank as the reefing virus spreads to the reasoning part of your brain! You should consider starting a chronicle thread of your own, so we can watch your tank evolve.

Thanks Kim! Such nice words. I used to dive in the Keys in my younger days. Not only did I collect fish, but I had an extensive shell collection as well. While you were snorkeling did you see an Florida Spiney Lobsters? They are good eating, if you can get them. We used to capture them with a gloved hand. There were only a few months out of the year that they could be taken and they had to be a certain size. We had this plastic measuring device that would measure them from the carapice between the eyes, to the posterior part of the thorax (where the tail meets the thorax). If they didn't fit, we'd throw them back. Don't know what the laws are now in Florida. Kim Possible is one of my favorite animations! Only after Dexter's Laboratory!
