Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

I'm glad things look like they will be ok. My Hagen test read high long after my Salifert and Mardel tests weren't picking up anything.

Glad things are looking up. Beautiful clam and full tank pics. I can't wait to see it when you add everybody back again.

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

Things are much brighter today. I did another water change then acclimated the fish back into the display. Everyone is so happy. Fox Face has his color back, Long Nose hawk is looking for food, Royal Gramma is curious as to what I'm doing in the sump, and the Clowns have found their host. BS is still a little scared. He is still sitting in the same place, next to a rock. He hasn't started digging yet. Perhaps he is waiting for nightime? He is very expressive though.

I also set up my daisy-chained Phosban reactors, one with charcol and the other with RowaPhos. Nifty little set up. Fast and easy. I has some pictures to upload, but it seems I have used all my space. Can I delete some picture I don't want? Does anyone know how? I guess one has to be judicious as to what is uploaded!

You can attach them to your post without posting them to your gallery. Just scroll down to where you see manage attachments at the bottom and click on that. You can load up to 5 shots (size limit on each).

Great. Here's a picture of BS in situ and my daisy-chained reactor set-up. These pictures will do, but I like the bigger ones!

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

For cute! He is a nice size. Since he was sold as medium, I was expecting him to be a bit smaller. Nice colors - and smile!

I'm in love. It's funny how close his face looks to my Watchman goby's. He's got personality! My Watchman is facing off with BS. I think he feels BS is out for his hole. BS is twice his size though. Haven't seen any fighting.

Once you get the RowaPhos in the reactor make sure you run RO water through it to flush out the fines. The instructions, in the beginning, say not to rinse, however, at the end when it discusses fluidizing the media, it says to rinse. It's a great reactor and oh so easy to set up.

I'm still having problems with my skimmer. It won't produce foam! Could it be from the water changes? I don't know, its got me perplexed.

My Royal Gramma is staying out all the time now. I suspected that the Six Line wrasse was ha"wrasse"ing him. Now that the wrasse is gone, rest his soul, the Royal Gramma is king of midtank. I really liked the wrasse and miss him.

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

I've had my eye on the watchman gobies, but I got the second Bluespot instead. Maybe next time I'll try a watchman. The clown gobies are real cute too, but they are so small, I can't imagine that they would survive with my monsters. The lfs says they would do just fine. At least they aren't expensive.

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

The great thing about their size is that they have agility and speed over the monsters. I like the clown gobies too. BS is still in the same spot, not making his home, is that normal. he's very alert and eats like a pig, twice today.

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

Eating is a good sign. What do you have in the tank for him to build with? Do you have extra shells nearby, small rocks?
