| Over Achiever | Re: Dentoid's Reeforama Matt, it does look like that in the photo. Here is a picture from Sonny's site that shows it with the polyps out. I thought it was an encrusting gorgonian, but I could be wrong. What do you think? Is this a non-photosynthetic zoanthid? Any care instructions? ![]() |

| Acropora ![]() | Re: Dentoid's Reeforama Scott, I am almost 100% sure they are zoanthids. I'm not totally sure about any specific care requirements, but I do know a few folks that keep them. As far as I am aware you treat them as you would all other zoanthids. I'll see what I can dig up for you.

| Acropora ![]() | Re: Dentoid's Reeforama They are in symbiosis with the sponge. The only special need I could come up with applies to all sponges but more so with these guys. They shouldn't be exposed to air at any time.

| Acropora ![]() | Re: Dentoid's Reeforama Well hopefully it will be fine. I know Sonny has had them for a while now and I think he has fragged them before. It is hit or miss with sponges when they get exposed. I haven't heard of them called spider sponges before but anything is possible.

| Watch this Ma! | Re: Dentoid's Reeforama How did you mount your frag of the sponge? I kept stuffing it into holes until I found one that kind of grabbed ahold of it. I was afraid to use epoxy on it.
