Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

Thanks Lorraine! Spotty has been pretty much grounded until recently. I have noticed him swimming around the tank and up near the surface. I just don't understand this behavior.

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

Just curious, have you noticed any pH drop at all? Lower oxygen level???? Just keep that lid on tight! No, tighter! I'm sending the police over to make sure he doesn't escape!

Spotty's in the tank with the new additions? Could adding new fish/corals affect him.. cause stress?

I'm glad Lorraine is sending the police over! Stay, Spotty, Stay!

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

Ha! I wish! The only 300 gallons I'm going to see is my bath tub!

Spotty is grounded again. Today I gave him a good heaping handful of new rock rubble. He has been moving and building all the live long day. In fact here he is with his new building materials!

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

You have a 300 gallon bath tub???

hmmmm......

It has a drain already...

It is made from material that would be safe to keep animals in....

Add a few powerheads....

Put a pump in it and attach a skimmer to it....

Sit a heater or two in it...

Add 500 lbs of LR....

It has a perfect edge for adding a top to it....

You have electrical available to hang a light above it....

hmmmm.....

Nah, I bet your wife wouldn't let you do it....

It's a shame....

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

Methinks for my new house and tank build that a lovely little BSJF would go nicely. Yours is the cutest little bugger! Love the expressions.

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

Tank looks great Scott. I've been eyeing a Mystery Wrasse at the LFS and was wondering if you had any info I might need to know about them.

Re: Dentoid's Reeforama

Matt, I have not had one second of trouble with my Mystery wrasse. They are very docile, some say that they will eat ornamental shrimps, but I haven't had any issues with it bothering my Cleaner or Fire shrimps. Possibly, a death sentence for smaller crustacean species though. It is a very community oriented fish with spectacular color and vibrancy. Once acclimated and comfortable in the tank, it will stay out most of the time looking for food. It's a very gracious fish, not a pig or beggar, but eats hardily. I would recommend it without reservation for a community tank.

Greg, I think a BSJF is definately in your future!

Thanks Morgan, Craig, Jack, Victor and Terry. Your input means a lot to me!
