Just stopping by Lorraine, I wish you a lot of fun and success with your new BS and all of your tanks. If somebody has earned this, then certainly you.

Re: Lorraine's Rebuilding of 125 gal Tank

Let's start with pics of the 50. I've been busy in this tank... Last Friday I acquired two tank raised misbarred percs, and another pink skunk. Everyone seems happy together, but they are all still trying to host the GBTA.

Here are the full tank shots and a few of my rics. My green rics had babies again (so cute!).

Re: Lorraine's Rebuilding of 125 gal Tank

Thanks guys! (Here's some karma for stopping by!)

Now for the 125 update. These pics are after the major weeding event yesterday that all started because I was going to remove Mr. Palani. He won the battle, so the corals came out instead. My hubby loves that fish so I guess he is staying. I love him too, he has already forgiven me for even thinking that he should go someplace else! Something is funky on my camera, all the colors are washed out. Battery is dead and I can't find the charger, oh well...

Re: Lorraine's Rebuilding of 125 gal Tank

Kazzy - Hum, I just clean it. No really, in the 50 the glass hardly ever needs to be cleaned. I've been doing WCs in it 1-2 times a week to get my nitrates to 0 (seems to have finally worked). I am religious about cleaning the sponges in that tank a few times a week and I keep a good cleanup crew in there too. I don't have a sump on the 50, just the HOB RemoraPro skimmer (that in my opinion sucks). The 125 is easier to keep the water parameters perfect with the ASM G-2 skimmer and fuge, so I typically can go a few weeks between WC in that. But I do have to clean the glass 3-4 times a week (I think that is because the VHO lights are very close to the glass). I also started scraping the glass on the back every few months as well in both tanks that has also made a big difference in how clean it looks.

Craig - I have three 250w HQI Aqua Medic Pendants (13k/20k/13k), and also two 5'-VHOs.

All I need now is some superglue. Still need to rebuild my zoa branch rock.
