Re: Lorraine's Rebuilding of 125 gal Tank

That's great. I removed my ozonizer because it got wet and I felt like it wasn't working properly. I'll set it back up and give it a sniff.

Re: Lorraine's Rebuilding of 125 gal Tank

Wet is bad - you can't let the smoke out of things or they don't work! This Midas is still looking pretty bad. It's a good thing I remember my other one looking like it was going to die or I would be worrying about this guy. I put a bit of sand and shells in the bottom along with my clam shells I had saved for my next Bluespot. He is cuddled up inside one of them, cuter than a bugs ear!

Re: Lorraine's Rebuilding of 125 gal Tank

Gorgeous clowns. Are they an already mated pair? They look so cute. Best of luck on the midas. They are gorgeous fish.
As to your fish list I would say go for the red scooter blenney but be sure you have a stable pod population first. Personally I love the scooter blenneys both the red and the normal colors. They just have so much personality and are always on the go.
I just got my first anthias a couple of weeks ago an absolutely love it so I would say get a pair of those.
Also I would skip the yellow tang and get a different type. My yellow was just so agressive I doubt I will ever have another. I absolutely love my sailfin and have never seen him pick on anybody even though he is significantly larger than anything but the Chevron.
Best of luck with your qt. Are you going to treat everybody with hyposalinity to be sure they are ich free or are you going to just use the observe and treat if necessary method?

Re: Lorraine's Rebuilding of 125 gal Tank

You must have read my mind! Here is the lineup and the plan. I'm nervous cause these guys seem to be a sensitive bunch. Oh well, might was well worry now instead of later.

Group 1 (will go in the display on May 4th)
Mr. Palani

Group 2 (30 gallon QT)
Black Onyx Percula Clowns (Mated Pair) - Will arrive from Divers Den tomorrow!
Midas Blenny - Acquired locally yesterday

Group 3 (50 gallon QT - Ordered all these guys today from Jeff's Exotic Fish to be received on May 4th when Mr. Palani will vacate the QT tank)
Blue Spot Jawfish
Two Rainfordi's Gobies
Red Scooter Blenny
Two Bartlett Anthias (1 Male, 1 Female)

Haven't decided for sure on the hyposalinity. I will let them settle in and monitor them for a while first.

Re: Lorraine's Rebuilding of 125 gal Tank

My babies are late! I hope they aren't lost. FedEx is confused. The tracking info shows that it is at the facility, they are telling me that it is on a truck, but they are also telling me that it is only 9:30 my time (not according to about 6 clocks in my house). They are contacting the driver now per my insistence!

Re: Lorraine's Rebuilding of 125 gal Tank

Still not here! I am mad, darn mad! FedEx has a call into the driver, but he hasn't called them back! The tracking still shows it sitting at the facility! I'm about ready to go to the facility and make them look for it. Customer Service swears that it is on the truck.
