Glad to hear everything is AOK! Why the crutches, and hope you are on the mend!

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

The crutches are me being stupid. Long story short I fell in the garage Sunday night and landed with all of my weight on my right kneecap. The bone is not broken but the cartilage is either broken or bruised. Apparently the only way to tell is an MRI. The doc and I agreed to take the wait and see approach for a couple of weeks. I am in a huge brace thing and on crutches for two weeks and then we re-evaluate. If it is bruised it should be a lot better. If it isn't then off to MRI land and probable surgery. I'm going with the bruised option. Bad as the crutches are I can deal with that for a couple of weeks rather than the other.

Can I ever actually make a long story short? I really don't think I can do it.

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

Thanks everyone for the concern. I am getting around. Of course I am nt staying off of it like I should but how on earth is someone supposed to do that? There are things to be done.
Anyway, today we celebrate the 16th birthday of my twin step-daughters so the weekend is all about them. One gets Saturday and the other Sunday for pretty much whatever they want. (Reasonable limits do apply. )

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

For their birthday? I think not. First of al I can't afford it (I have 4 step-children and if I do it for one I have to do it for all 4). Even more importantly though is everyone I knew who got a car for their b-day etc wrecked it. For a car they will need to come up with at least half of the money.
Ok since they don't go on RS, I'll tell what they are getting.
They are each getting a laptop. Not a car I know but not a bad b-day present.

Now this thought I could go with if the presents weren't already bought. They LFS I go to most now is a family run business and they both think the son is cute so they always want to go with me now.

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

nice, I didn't get a laptop 'till I was 36! (I'm 36 now... )

So who gets to decide who gets Sat and who gets Sunday? Does the older one pick first?

and oh, yeah, TWO reasons to go to the LFS!!!
