Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

A lot has happened here too... sorry for your troubles Lynn. Glad to see you are bouncing back with determination as usual. Hopefully you'll get the tanks fixed up and Frank will get bored and want to build a rabbit hutch =P.

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

LOL
Glad to see you back. I was wondering where you went.
Hope everything is good with you and yours.

Crazy weekend here so nothing done on the tank except put the Koralias in the tank and remove the maxijets.
Flow seems to be ok and the fish do not seem stressed so all is good for now.

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

So far so good. The flow is strong but pretty spread out. Hubby is unhappy about not being able to put the on the wavemaker and they have really made my finger leather unhappy. I will find a happy place for it and I expect all to be well. They are pretty big but kind of cool looking and I love the magnets.

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

I was a very very bad girl today. I should not be trusted at the lfs with a credit card. Hopefully it will pay off but I admit I am nervous. Here is my new elegance about 2 hours after being in the reef.
I really hope I can keep this gorgeous animal alive. It was just to beautiful to pass up and a pretty good price too based on the size and condition.

I also got a nice leather I have been looking at for a while but the pics stink so I will try again later.

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

Wow! That is b-e-a-utiful! And elegant! Hope it does well for you. You know there are specimens that are "rated" for advanced aquarists. I would put you in that category, but technically, if it's the first time one has attempted to keep a specimen that they have no experience with then they are a beginner even if they are an "advanced aquarist". Kudos to you for trying this controversial spercimen!

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

I will freely admit I am very nervous about this one. I went back and forth at least 20 times between yes and no. Yes finally won. I just hope I can keep it happy. At least I am starting with what I believe to be a healthy animal. That gives me a lot better chance anyway.

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

I'm on a waiting list at www.colorfulcoral.com for an off spring from a long term tank raised elegance. Don't know where I am on the list at this point.

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

I doubt this was tank raised since my new lfs is an importer. It was in his tank for over 2 weeks and was doing great so I am just hoping. It did inflate much more quickly than I expected and he had fed it cyclopese earlier today so those are both positives.

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

Congrats on the new addition Lynn
Is there any way to shade it from direct light at least till it acclimates to the tank ?
