Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

Billy, We definately had a blast... Saturday, Lynn and I went to five LFS!! Then enjoyed a delicious dinner (garlic sauteed/grilled steak, sauteed shrooms, spinach, fried potatoes, and fresh baked bread) that Frank cooked! : ..ohh!.. he also made chocolate chip cookies for dessert!!

Ahhhh... life is good~

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

Then back to two lfs on Sunday to stay out of the way of the plumbing. There were a couple of small leaks that made an appearance last night, but all are fixed now except for the one o-ring we need to get the fuge running.
Sump and new skimmer are up and running and everything looks great.
The skimmerpeople seem quite happy in their new home. Thanks for sharing them Steve.

I'll play with pics of the equipment and some of the fishies and corals in a bit.

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

Ok a couple of pics of the old and the new setup.
Here is the old sump which was actually a converted wet/dry that we replaced the bio-balls with rock and added a skimmer.

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

Good point. I will take some tonight. I have lots more reef pics as well, but I need to choose which ones to use and resize. Maybe get a couple up today and take pony pics tonight when I get home from work.

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

The tank's looking good!! With a little more TLC as we all know Lynn's gonna provide in abundance, it's gonna be a masterpiece!

Nice plumbing too!! did Woody do that??

Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure.

No Woody and I went LFS hopping. My husband and a friend TJ did all the plumbing. So far everything is good except the flow through the fuge. I wanted slow flow but it is hardly any at all. They are exploring some options now so hopefully that will be fixed soon. Also still waiting for some sand I ordered for the fuge to be delivered and need to get the broken chiller replaced. Lots happening though. I love the new skimmer and how much cleaner and easier it is under the tank now. It looks confusing (to me anyway) at first but is actually a pretty simple design.
