Thanks a bunch Matt.

I tried to get away from the convential "wall" scaping and decided to setup the two mountains with the valley in between type of layout. Hopefully it will look good once covered with some mushrooms, zoa's and polyps.

Re: Joe's 65 Gallon Aquatic World

I did a ten gallon water change tonight. I'm getting better at these water changes. I didn't spill a drop tonight. Previously two times I seem to have always ended up with a wet spot on the carpet
Don't tell the wife!

I also purchased a GSP frag down at the LFS. It was on a piece of rock about 4-5" long. The GSP covers about 75-80% of the rock. When it opens up I'll be sure to report with a pic. I know how everyone loves pics

The fat content in rosy reds/any feeder goldfish is much higher than that of any natural food that the lionfish would eat. This oftentimes is the attributed factor to what is called "Fatty Liver Disease". Fatty liver disease is not truly a disease, but merely a buildup of excess fat in the liver that causes liver failure and death. If you can get him to eat other things, I would try that, but if thats all he'll eat then eating something is better than nothing. I'll pull up an old article on it once I find it.

BTW, very nice tank so far. I just actually ordered my 65g tank/stand but won't be setting it up until mid-july. Keep up the pics as I'm going to be tankless for a couple months and need the inspiration.

I've been slowly trying to convert my lion over to eating other foods. I've tried krill and he'll slowly come up to my hands while holding the food. I'll then let it go, and my lion will just watch it float around and sink. He seems to only like the stuff that swims around

So, maybe one day he'll eventually get the hint and eat the good stuff.

Re: Joe's 65 Gallon Aquatic World

GSP as of Sunday evening. Growing full, thick and very healthy. Starting to spread on the back adjacent rock that it is laying on. So far this is my only coral. My tank setup has been extremely stable. Only issue I have now is the fine sand that I have is getting a little on the "not clean" side. I probably need to upgrade my cleaning crew.

All GSPs are not created equal. I have one Huge rock of it that I love, and another that is just ok. Some have pretty blue/white center some dont.

Re: Joe's 65 Gallon Aquatic World

Small plug of a Zoanthid I purchased from the LFS this weekend.
Opened up within 20 minutes of putting it in place.
