Well I have an order coming in tomorrow from reeftopia.com. I ordered some different types of snails some peppermint shrimp, a black cap basslet, and some more nassarius snails. I will put pics of them up tomorrow.

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Beautiful pics of a gorgeous tank!
I love my black cap but he is a major digger. Just be warned. He was very shy for the first week or so and hid in a hole. Now he is out an about and a gorgeous addition.

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Just wait till the black cap starts coming out. Mine is quickly becoming one of my favorites in my reef (other than my Sailfin who is the absolute top.)
The growth pictures look awesome. You are certainly doing something right.

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Thanks all, booze the nerites are awesome. By the way booze when are you getting your tank setup?

Lynn, I saw the black cap for the first time today just briefly though.

I was thinking about adding another tang, either a convict, kole or a sailfin. I need it to be a good algae eater and it needs to be a non aggressive one. Based on that which do you think would be best for my system?

My parents took out all their stuff today. Got some pics of the tank with out their stuff.

CRAB FIGHT!!! lol

There is a better growth photo than the one on the previous post

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

The Kole tang should go well with your Hippo tang, a Convict may not survive the Hippo's aggressiveness.

Fabulous looking stuff!

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Personally I adore my Sailfin. He is a spectacular looking fish and so far a model inhabitant. Eats off of the rock all day and still pigs out when I add nori or my mush.

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Thanks Craig!

I really like the sailfins, they are awsome fish but would it get along with my tank mates?

I am having a bit of a flat worm outbreak, is there any fish or invert that I can buy that will eat them?

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Hmm not sure what your current inhabitants are. Mine is pretty passive but you should not add one if you already have a tang of the same body style (Yellow, and purple tangs come to mind on that one but there are certainly others.
Another thing to keep in mind is their adult size. I have read various numbers but the largest one was 16in in the wild. If mine even comes close I will either need a serious upgrade or have to part with it. With my current 6ft 125 I wouldn't want anything over maybe 10in.

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Sailfins can get 15" long. Need a 200+ tank long-term to accomodate their growth.

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Lynn, I also love the sailfins but I am kind of leaning toward a kole tang. I just cant find one.

I had a sailfin before I moved for about 2 years. He only grew about 1-2 inches in that time peroid. I also have a blue tang now that is about 3 inches eats like a pig and is 5 years old. I personally dont believe that a sailfin would get to be 15+ inches in a large tank. Although it is possible but not likely
