Live Rock Rubble will do the SAME thing as Bio-Balls and is NOT a suitable replacement for BIO-BALLS in a Reef System! It's ALL gotta go!!

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Here it is, I have a cyano issue in there although it is connected with the same water running through it....

I think it is a flow issue, anyways here it is.

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Matt, have you been robbing the LFS?! You know, taking the best specimens when they first come in and leaving the crappy stuff for the paying customers!

Nice looking tank my friend!

Heh, I am actually working at the LFS! I do not take stuff from there though. Most of my stuff has come from online!

Yes they are, most of the ones I have are the more expensive zoas. Not sure how much you were wanting to spend...?

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

I Think you have the nicest 90g I have ever seen! I'll start reading from the beginning of the thread but if I don't find what I'm looking for can you share your lighting setup with us along with other pieces of equipment you have to run this beautiful tank. Weekly/monthly chores?

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Thank you!

The 90 has two 400 watt halides with XM 20K bulbs. They are housed in LumenBright reflectors. For a skimmer I am running an Octopus Extreme 200. I have a 15 watt Current Gamma UV. For power heads I have one Tunze 6101 on a single controllwe and a Korallia Controllable PH's, with a 3 and a 4.

I have an ATO with a 20 gallon resivore. I have a Korallin Calcium reactor, and have a Kalk tub, 18 gallons, that is pH controlled by my RK2. When my pH gets below 8.25 it starts the kalk drip and when it gets above 8.3 it shuts off. Other than that it is pretty simple.
