I don't know why there is such a draw to pistol shrimps. You rarely, if ever see them. They just pile up sand everywhere. I can say this because I have one.

my deal is not really the pistol, but the symbiotic pair. Just like with clowns and anemones, I think that the symbiont relationship is great!

I get it! That is what possesed me to get my Yellow watchman, because I had a hitchhiker, "earthmover" pistol shrimp. They hosted very well. Carry on! Still trying to guess the other newbie?

Not a file fish, some regard them as very similar to a mandarin in needs, but they are long slender, and hard to keep!

the one I had was about 6", yeah they do get that big but dont look near that big because they arent any bigger than a pencil. They are actually very interesting!
