Man, I've got to get one of those cameras! I can see a reflection of the lens in the 8th picture, but can't quite make it out. Full tank shot is great. I adore my six line, he's sassy. That Serpent star looks like it's out of a science fiction film. They lay still until you throw some food in, then they move like the wind. I have 2 big ones and a small hitchhiker. Enjoyed the pictures.

Thanks! It is a Nikon D50 and what you see in the reflection is actually off of the macro lens. I have always had a six line up until this tank, i have never had flatworms or pyramiddial*** snails before until i had this tank with no 6-line. What should i feed the star?

Thanks for the kind words Lisa!I put one of those stars in my tank... he now lives in my sump. I caught him exhibiting "hunting" behavior over by my tiny gobys. He was making a basket and waiting for one of them to swim under ... Dont know if he was after the gobys or something else but I wasnt gonna take a chance Watch him if you have small fish
The only real small fish that he could catch would be a target mandarin and a scooter blenny... but my carpet could get them too. I will watch him though to make sure!

Pics are great! Tank is looking sweet! Where is Bluespot going to go?
Haha! Thanks! I would really like one! but the problem is that my tank is an open top so if i got one it would probably go in the fuge! I would have that as a display fuge with ponies a yahasa/pistol pair and a bluespot!

Quote:
WOW! Tank looks great! Great pics! What is the pink on the front center of the substrate in the full tank pic? I can't quite see it. Gorgeous corals. I love the zoas and I am not that big of a zoa person. Then the clam, the carpet, the sps. Man too much to list and it all looks great.
Thanks Lynn! That is a open brain! He has gotten huge but his skeleton is very small... I have been told that they dont like a ton of light... but he gets all 400 watts worth...

Thanks craig!

Quote:
I REALLY like those blue/green zoas Matt... frag?????
Which ones are you talking about? If its the smallest one in the pictures, which is what I think you are talking about... when they grow i would love to start fragging some of my stuff... Ill defiantly let you know when i have something available!

Thanks again all!

Matt

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Oh... those are huge and would be easily fraggable! Once i get the tank more established and things starting to get big... you will be the first one to know about frags! Those zoos by the way grow very fast... probably 5 polyps a day...

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Maxima clam? Carpet anemone (oh, you already have one). You got the $600.00 carpet that Billy posted a few weeks ago? Come on, cough up the picture man!

BTW, I feed my Serpents small pieces of shrimp. I usually target feed them. I put the shrimp on the end of a wooden kabob stick and hold it near them. They take it pretty fast, it's fun to watch. I also have to stand guard or the peppermint shrimps will try to take it.

What size is your macro lens?

Re: The 90 gallon Road Trip

Thanks all for the compliments!

Lisa the first one is hard and yeah the polyps can expand and contract if needed. I was told that it is a chips acro? True?

Billy that would be great when it warms up and things start to grow!

The fuge should start going up any time now, pics as soon as that project starts!

Thanks

Matt
