Re: pic of my new 150gal system

ok well its a little late but hey this aniversity party lasts all month long

i had a little issue with my yellow acro and thought i would share. this acro started to turn brown after it had been growing nicely for a little while with nice color. then it started to turn brown. i thought maybe the lighting. replaced some bulbs but it was still turning brown. maybe new lighting now. waited it started losing flesh. working nights i get to see my tank at night all too often. the polyps extentions were not so good, was before, but then i i usually adjust flow during the day time. so i started playing with the flow at night, turnned out, it was night time flow. sence adjusting it, the coral is on its way to recovery. i always had it lower at night, it just so happended the night flow hit this guy in just the wrong way. that what i get for only making adjustments during the day and not looking at the effect it had during night hours. alright then time to see some of the recovery.

5/23 this one was the first pic i could find of the browning, it has already spreed by this point. started on one branch slowly spreed.

5/29 note the white tissue. at this point i was thinking, white band disease maybe or something similar?

6/5 this just after i changed the flow up. the healing has started here but still some tissue remains exposed.

6/11 just a few branches with browning left. tissue is now intact.

currently the coral has almost made a full recovery.
